The fourth day of Sharadiya Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda.
Significance: In this form, She creates the universe by liberating her power to Lord Sun in the form of light laughter.
Colour: Imbibe the colour Yellow on this day to celebrate the sense of mirth and enlightenment.
Mantra:
ॐ देवी कुष्मांडये नमः
सुरासम्पूर्णकलशं रुधिराप्लुतमेव च
दधाना हस्तपद्माभ्यां
कूशमंदा शुभदास्तु मे
Translation: May Kushmanda Maa Durga who holds two pitchers full of blood in her lotus hands and the universe is created, sustained and drawn within Devi’s own self in a wink, be propitious for me.
A dreamer, a mystic and a traveller!
Gallivanting through this life, I travel to understand my soul, place by place, people by people. As a constant learner, I dabble with photography, playing music, reading tarot, practicing Reiki, learning new languages, painting, and of course travelling – I feel it is this variety of life that keeps life alive and fresh. When I am not doing anything, I can be found huddled up with a book in a corner of my house, letting my imagination take flight.
