The tenth day of Sharadiya Navratri is Vijayadashami.
This culminates the 9-day worship of the different forms of the Divine Mother Goddess. It marks the victory of Maa Durga over the demon Mahisasur, who she later grants a pardon and releases him from his mortal suffering.
It is symbolic for whoever can achieve complete acceptance of all aspects of their self – light and dark – can destroy the demon within them. The same negative aspects that affect our life, can become a companion towards spiritual growth and enlightenment.
शुभ विजयादशमी (May you have a Blessed Vijayadashmi)
