Navami - Maa Siddhidaatri

The ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri is dedicated to Maa Siddhidaatri

Significance: In this form, She is worshiped by Lord Shiva to become the form of Goddess Ardhanarishwara.  The Goddess Shakti then appeared from the left side of Lord Shiva.  She is also the symbol of wealth and worldly happiness.

Colour: Imbibe the colour Pink on this day to celebrate the sense of love, affection, tenderness, and nurturing.

Mantra:

या देवी सर्वभूतेषु लक्ष्मी रूपेण संस्थिता

नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः

नमस्तेस्तु महामयी श्रीपीठे सुरपूजिते

शङ्खचक्रगदाहस्ते महालक्ष्मी नमस्तुते       

Translation: May the ever victorious Siddhidayini Ma Durga, who is always worshipped by the hordes of siddha, gandharva, yaksha, asura, and Deva, bestow success at my every venture.
