Chapter 12 - Text 13,14

अद्वेष्टा सर्वभूतानां मैत्रः करुण एव च 

निर्ममो निरहंकारः संदुखःसुखः क्षमी

सतुष्टः सततं योगी यतात्मा दृढनिश्चयः 

मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्यो मद्भक्तः स मे प्रियः

The one who is not envious but is a kind friend to all living entities, who does not think of themselves as a proprietor, who is free from false ego, who is equal in both happiness and distress, who is always satisfied and engaged in devotional service with determination and whose mind and intelligence are in agreement with Me – they are very dear to Me.

Chapter 16 - Text 19

तानहं द्विषतः क्रूरांसंसारेषु नराधमान 

क्षिपाम्यजस्रमशुभानासूरीष्वेव योनिषु

Those who are envious and mischievous, who are the lowest among men, are cast by Me into the ocean of material existence, into various demonic species of life.

Chapter 18 - Text 71

श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः 

सोपि मुक्तः शुभांँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयातपुण्यकर्मणाम

The one who listens with faith and without envy becomes free from sinful reactions and attains to the planets where the pious dwell.
